INSTRUCTOR:
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Ch. 1: Dimensional Analysis and Scaling (3 weeks)
- Ch. 2: Perturbation Methods (6 weeks)
- Ch. 3: Calculus of Variations (5 weeks)
CLASS OPERATION:
- Homework (from exercises in the text or problems integrated with
the
lectures)
will be assigned regularly and collected periodically (with at least
one week
notice).
It will be graded and returned. It will count towards the final
course
grade (35%).
- There will be a Mid-Term Exam (in class).
- A Final Exam will be given during the regularly scheduled
Final Exam period for the course (Tues, Dec 11, 7:45-10:00am)? It
will only cover material after
that covered by the Mid-Term.
GRADES: Homework (35%), Mid-Term Exam (30%), Final Exam
(35%).
