2007 Outstanding Regional Instructor Award

Each fall the Department of Mathematical Sciences names one part-time regional campus faculty member as Outstanding Regional Campus Instructor.  Kent Campus Math professor Austin Melton presented a plaque and cash award to Ms. Cairns at a ceremony held at the Ashtabula Campus on December 5th, 2007. KSU Ashtabula Dean Susan Stocker and Asst Dean Mel May joined in congratulating this Outstanding Regional Campus Instructor.


 

Award recognition is based on the instructor’s demonstrated ability to:

  • Stimulate thinking and develop understanding
  • Use methods of evaluation that reflect understanding of material
  • Communicate enthusiasm for mathematics
