I am a Professor and Actuarial Mathematics Program Coordinator in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University. I am a Faculty Senator. I am the faculty advisor of the Math Club, the Actuarial Math Club, and the Ohio Epsilon Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon. I am a national Councillor of Pi Mu Epsilon. I have a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (Theoretical Computer Science) and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics, all from Kent State University. My research interests are in finite group theory (especially algebra groups). My teaching interests include actuarial mathematics, social choice mathematics, and inquiry-based learning (IBL).
