I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University. I am the faculty advisor of the Ohio Epsilon Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon and of the Undergraduate Mathematics Club. I am a Faculty Senator. I am a national Councillor of Pi Mu Epsilon. I have a BS in Applied Mathematics (Theoretical Computer Science) and an MA and PhD in Pure Mathematics, all from Kent State University. My research interests are in finite group theory (especially algebra groups). My teaching interests include inquiry-based learning (IBL), liberal arts mathematics, calculus, and actuarial mathematics.
