KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES
SENIOR EXIT SURVEY

One of the graduation requirements in the College of Arts and Sciences is participation in Mandatory Outcomes Assessment conducted by the major program. This requirement can be found in the Arts and Sciences section of the Undergraduate Catalog, under General Graduation Requirements, and is listed on the Major Requirement Sheets for the Mathematics B.A., Mathematics B.S., and Applied Mathematics B.S. degrees.

This assessment is part of the Academic Assessment and Continuous Improvement efforts of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The purpose of the assessment is evaluation of the Department's major programs and it is not used in the evaluation of individual students or instructors.

One component of the Outcomes Assessment in the Department of Mathematical Sciences is a Senior Exit Survey on various aspects of our programs. The survey is an opportunity for students to let us know what we are doing well and what aspects of our programs need to be improved. The contents of this survey may vary from year to year.

Each year, the survey will be emailed to graduating seniors in the spring, prior to the Senior Colloquium, at the email address provided on their senior colloquium scheduling form. The survey is to be completed and submitted anonymously through the main office (233 MSB), c/o Dr. Davidson, by the last day of classes in the spring semester of one’s graduation year.
