Through Kohistan and onto Gilgit Baltistan, Northern Pakistan

- Balakot (North of Mansehra and South of Kaghan).
- Babuser Pass Altitude 14,000 Feet. In contrast, the
highest mountain of California, Mount Whitney, is about 14,000 feet
as well, but much harder to climb since there are no roads.

- Way To Naltar
Landslides prone region about 20
miles north of Gilgit. Almost all the electricity for Gilgit is
generated in Naltar. Naltar gets washed away almost every year.
- Crossing Naltar Washout.
River overflow washed away the road.
Had to hire a jeep from the above side to reach Naltar.
Holding rope did not work. Finally we took the plunge.

any higher towards the lakes. Roads unreliable.

Mount Rakaposhi, Hunza/Karimabad, Attabad Lake, Phassu Cones.
- Beyond Phassu towards Khunjrab Pass i.e., China Border.
