This courses focuses on developing a toolbox of mathematical methods for tackling problems arising in Physical Sciences. This course covers Series, Complex Numbers, Linear Algebra, Differentiation and Integration in Multiple Variables.

Prerequisite
MATH 12003. Students who do not have the proper prerequisites risk being deregistered from the class.

Requirements
Homework will be assigned after each lecture and will be posted on Blackboard. Homework assigned in the previous week will be collected each Monday in class, or submitted through Blackboard if you prefer. Homework will not be graded. But each submission will earn you one point (up to 10 points for all) to your final points.

There will be five quizzes (count 20 points towards your final points), four midterm exams (40 points total), and the final exam (30 points). The quizzes and midterm exams will typically be scheduled on Friday in class. The final exam time is Tuesday, December 10, 10:15am--12:30pm.

Points earned from your homework, quizzes, and exams, will be posted on Blackboard. The final letter grade will be posted through FlashLine after the final exam.

Grading Policy
Your points earned from Homework (10), quizzes (20), midterm exams (40), and final exam (30), give your final points, which determines your letter grade:
A (90 or above); B (80 or above); C (70 or above); D (60 or above); F (less than 60).

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: The official registration deadline for this course is August 28, 2019.  University policy requires all students to be officially registered in each class they are attending.  Students who are not officially registered for a course by published deadlines should not be attending classes and will not receive credit or a grade for the course.  Each student must confirm enrollment by checking his/her class schedule (using Student Tools in FlashFast) prior to the deadline indicated.  Registration errors must be corrected prior to the deadline.
