MY
ULTIMATE MUSIC LIST!
ALWAYS
UNDER CONSTANT CONSTRUCTION and totally un-alphabetized. deal with it.
p.s. I might not have all the titles or authors correct - I'll get to that
later. Let me know if you can help me correct it...
P.S.S. The CD's that I WANT are listed at the end. You know... just in
case... you wanted to know... for some odd reason...
Below is the sacred list of the "ultimate" music
collection. Someday, I would love to own all of this music in my own
collection. Right now, my collection pretty much sux. But I'm sure you
can relate, I mean, haven't you ever heard a song that you haven't
heard in years and you were like "Man! I LOVE that song! I wish I had
that on CD!". Yeah, I say that all the time. It's ridiculous. But I
decided one day that if I'm ever going to entertain and expect people
to not die of boredom in my house, I should probably have a decent,
varied, music collection that tops all others. Not sure if everyone
else agrees with me on some of these, but sometimes I can't get past
my corny nature. Hey - I grew up in the 80's. Get over it... dude.
ULTIMATE SONGS This section would basically include those songs that are
just "Hey! I remember that song!" kind of songs. Some are ridiculous,
some are awesome, and a LOT you probably have never heard of. Some
songs are just ones you remember chillin/rockin out/mackin/poppin to
when you were younger and you just have fond memories of. Then again,
some are just plain stupid and make you laugh, and that's what I love.
So like I said, don't judge. I already admitted that I'm a complete
dork.

Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses. Toby Keith, with
Willie Nelson (I don't like the version without Willie nearly as
much)
Ms. Broadway - by Belle Epoque? - really old song... late
70's? But it rocks! I've GOT to find this song!!

much...(got this vinyl too)
Barbara's Bedroom ("you should've seen me, in Barbara's
Bedroom....") - Whistle (got the 45!)

Untitled - D'angelo... for, um, no reason.
Tour De France - Kraftwerk (KC - you know what I'm talking
about *wink*)

though...)

I still love this song!)
How deep is your love? - Bee Gees (So... How deep IS your

ULTIMATE 'URBAN' Yeah, I don't know what 'urban' is either, but R&B and
Hip Hop have totally changed over the years... and I don't want to
classify anything as RAP... because that's just such an 80's word
anyway. RAP. ha. Yo dude, let's RAP. You know, I rapped once... I was
pretty good at it. You should have seen how nice all the Christmas
presents looked under the tree. I was awesome.

ULTIMATE ROCK...ish or something? Whatever you consider rock in your world might not be the
same as what I consider 'ROCK' in my world. I tend to throw it all in
together unless it is truly something else. Just remember, you can put
trees wherever you want in YOUR world. So leave mine out of it.
ELVIS.
Bon Jovi
Avril Lavigne - she's got potential!
Sting - he gets hotter as he gets older!
The Police (his band)

Rod Stewart, or as some
call him, 'Rod the Bod' (blondes DO have more fun... Do ya think I'm
sexy??? :-) )
ULTIMATE... more stuff Same as the rock list, only a little harder.... so like I
said. I'll consider hard rock what I want to consider it. Put trees
wherever you want in your world.

Nine Inch Nails
Black Sabbath
Green Day
Twisted Sister
Cinderella

ULTIMATE POP/Girly stuff Ugh. Ok, like 'o-mi-gosh', I can't even say the word
'POP' without wanting to be gagged with a spoon. But here it is, what
I consider to be POP, and what I think I can put up with. I mean, does
anyone even like "New Kids on the Block" anymore? Did anyone
ever? Who cares, they were
a critical part of history. A tragic part maybe, but a part all the
same. (some of these might not be "pop", but I couldn't
figure out where else to put them!)
Kelly Clarkson
Janet Jackson
Madonna
Jewel (yeah, don't know if she's pop or not either. But love her
voice.)
The Bee Gees? are they pop? they should be.
Mariah Carey
Christina Aguilera
No Doubt - pop? alternative? dunno
Whitney Houston
Sara Mclaughlin? is she pop?
Bangles
Go Go's
Kylie Minogue (her sister too!)
Michael Jackson? Yeah. I know. I know. But hey, he did shape POP
music...
Ok, Ok, I admit it. Britney Spears. Yes, she should be on this
list. But if you tell ANYONE that I like her, I'll deny it. So
there.
ULTIMATE COUNTRY Now, I have to admit, I was a late country bloomer. But
honestly, I like all kinds of music and sometimes, country music just
CRACKS me up. Ever played a country record backwards?? (you know
what's coming next...) If you do, you get your dog back, your truck
back, your wife comes home, and you get your job back.
Kenny Chesney (nice jeans!)
Brad Paisley
Clint Black
Alan Jackson
Willie Nelson
Trace Adkins
Alabama
Toby Keith
Faith Hill
Randy Travis
Patsy Kline
Pam Tillis
ULTIMATE whatever-you-call-it? I think that is what you would call these. Or ska, or
club, or something-or-another...

STOMP
Cd's I'm going to buy next:
(Hint Hint - I don't have these, but I WANT them...dang - am I EVER
going to buy a new cd???)
Rod Stewart's Great American
Songbook III - WANT IT! (I have the first two, and I LOVE them...
a LOT. I think I can get it from my Mom though...)
I'd also like Rod's album "When we were the new boys", but I want
the songbook first.
R Kelly's Happy people/U saved me 2 cd
set
Alicia Keys latest album (I want all of them, but have to settle
for one at a time. The only one I have is Songs in A Minor)
Renee Olstead - she's on "Still Standing" and she has this AMAZING
voice and sings some awesome jazz(y) songs...
Kelly Clarkson's
Breakaway
Jill Scott - BEAUTIFUL
voice ("Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol.2")
Snoop "D-oh-double -G"
Yeah - you heard me right. I want all his CD's.
