June 11 - Hey guys - well, they are going to be nice
and let us in, but we're going to piss off some people in the process
because we registered so late....
Due to the amount of teams that are playing intramurals this year, they might have to resort to scheduling some games at 7:30 and 8:30 also (4 extra teams if they get one more to sign up). In this case, I'm not sure if our games will be at 5:30, or 6:30 next Monday. It's possible they could be at 7:30 and 8:30 instead. Some of you might prefer that, others might not. either way, that's what we might be stuck with. (The alternative is making 4 teams have a bye each week) If you can, please contact me at my office (672-9050) Monday to check in about the schedule. If you want to know as soon as possible, Greg said the schedule might be posted as early as Sunday (evening?). Check the page: http://www.recservices.kent.edu/Programs/Intramurals/IntramuralsSummer04.htm to see if there is a link to the summer softball intramural schedule. State Allerton Softball Fields: These fields are located BEHIND the Wellness and Recreation Center on Campus. To get there, simply take one of the roads that goes behind the Rec center, and turn at the stop sign. You should see the fields on your left. |

High School: 1. Start on E SUMMIT ST (go right out of Math&CS bldg) 2. Turn Right on S WATER ST 3. Turn Left on W MAIN ST 4. Turn Right on GOUGLER AVE 5. Continue on N MANTUA ST 6. Turn Left on FAIRCHILD AVE (turn right at 2nd light, fields are on left) OR 1. Start on E SUMMIT ST (go right out of Math&CS bldg) |

High School: 1. Start on E SUMMIT ST (go right out of Math&CS bldg) 2. Turn Right on S WATER ST 3. Turn Left on CRAIN AVE 4. Turn Right on GOUGLER AVE 5. Turn Right N MANTUA ST 6. Turn Left into Kent Roosevelt High School (either at the light, or the driveway right after the light). Baseball fields are next to the Tennis Courts behind the school. If those are taken, we will practice on the old soccer field next to the main parking lot. |

Ball Fields: 1. Start on E SUMMIT ST (go right out of Math&CS bldg) 2. Keep going until Summit Street ends (all the way across the wooden bridge). 3. You're there! |

Cages: Approx. 8 minutes away 5074 Darrow Rd, Hudson, OH 44236-4002 (330) 650-6222 1. Start on E SUMMIT ST (go right out of Math&CS bldg) 2. Turn Right on S WATER ST 3. Turn Left on W MAIN ST (St. Rt. 59) 4. Take W MAIN ST all the way into Stow 5. Turn Right (at first traffic light in Stow) on FISHCREEK 6. Follow FISHCREEK all the way until it ends (3.9 miles). 7. Turn Right. 8. At the light, turn left. Batting Cages are on the corner. *** There are also batting cages in Ravenna across from Wal-Mart. They only have one or two slow pitch cages for softball, however. |
