Lodging:

You have several options for lodging:

A room in our recently built dorms in Centennial Hall B. It costs $32.50 a night for double occupancy or $41.50 for single occupancy. The rooms have individual bathrooms, a mini fridge, but the linens will not be changed daily. There is no TV in the rooms. For a plan of the room please visit:

The registration for the room has to be made by us, so please send us your preferences (double or single occupancy, as well as dates) no later than July 15th. If you already did so you do not need to do it again. Most of the supported participants will stay here.

Attention: If you told me you wanted a room in the dorm, but do not intend to participate to the conference, please let me know immediately, as there is a cancellation fee.

A room in Microtel Inn and Suites, in Streetsboro, Oh, phone: 330-422-1234. The KSU-CBMS rate is $49.95. The room rate includes breakfast (we do have breakfast at the conference site, so you could have two breakfasts :), as well as pool and gym access. The downside is that it is about 8-9 miles away from the conference venue, in the direction of Cleveland, and we can not provide pick up service. You would need to register yourself, but be advised that the room reservation expires on July 20th and they are booked out for most of the dates. Do not forget to ask for the KSU-CBMS rate.

A room in Holiday Inn Express, Kent, Oh, phone:330-673-9200. The CBMS rate for a room is $74.95. This is a new hotel, about 8 miles from the conference venue, by I-76, but unfortunately we can not provide pick up service for this location either. The drive from this hotel is easier and shorter than the one from the Microtel. The deadline for registering for a room at this rate is also July 20th.

A room in any other hotel in the Kent or Streetsboro areas. There are numerous hotels in these areas, all about 9 miles away from campus, but we do not have special rates with them.

Room assignments in the Kent State dormitories (updated, August 3rd). The check-in is made in the Tri Towers Desk. Here is a map of Tri Towers.
