College Credit Plus (CCP) Grant Program

We are currently accepting applications for the CCP Credentialing program, supported by an ODE/ODHE grant. The program will cover tuition 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics taken in Summer 2024 - Summer 2025.

The expectation is that teachers applying to the program:

  • either already have a master's degree but need additional graduate coursework in mathematics for CCP credentialing
  • or do not have a master's degree.
  • In the latter case, the program will only cover tuition for the 18 graduate credit hours, but the teachers would be able to continue taking classes and finish their master's degree after the grant program is finished.

To apply for grant support the first step is to fill out a short Application Form, and then email your unofficial transcripts to ccpksu@gmail.com. Please do this ASAP.

We expect that teachers who participate in this program have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics or Integrated Mathematics. While most of the courses are targeted at mathematics teachers, the courses in the program are graduate-level mathematics courses and they require mathematical maturity and a solid mathematical background. We expect that the applicants will have at least a 3.0 average in their undergraduate mathematics courses. The classes will be time-consuming and will require a serious effort. A regular semester's class will have weekly homework assignments that will take anywhere from two to eight hours to complete.

This program is specifically created to support teachers from schools in economically disadvantaged districts. First priority will be given to teachers from our partner districts, especially to the ones teaching in Tier 1 and Tier 2 districts. We will consider applications from all interested and qualified in-service teachers.

After your application is approved, the next step is to submit an application to the KSU graduate school. Here is some information on the available options. Do not submit you application before you hear that you were accepted into the grant program.

All of the classes will be offered in remote format with face-to-face meetings for exams. Students in the program will need to complete six 3-credit hour courses, unless they already have graduate-level course-work in mathematics that they completed earlier.
