Senior Colloquium and Exit Survey

2006 Senior Colloquium Schedule

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you plan to graduate spring, summer, or fall 2006, click here for more detailed information, including presentation requirements, forms to be submitted, and deadlines.

As part of its Academic Assessment and Continuous Improvement efforts, the Department of Mathematical Sciences conducts a Senior Colloquium near the end of each spring semester. In the Senior Colloquium, graduating seniors with majors in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics give 15 minute presentations on mathematical topics that interest them. They then submit write-ups of their presentations to the Undergraduate Studies Committee.

In addition, each of the graduating seniors is asked to respond to a confidential Exit Survey on various aspects of the program. The contents of this survey will vary from year to year.

Participation in the Senior Colloquium and Exit Survey satisfies the Mandatory Outcomes Assessment General Graduation Requirement in the College of Arts and Sciences. The presentations and write-ups are evaluated by faculty in the Department of Mathematical Sciences for program assessment purposes only.
