Poster Submission Guidelines

All conference participants are encouraged to participate in the poster session. You can bring your poster or just submit the PDF file and we will print it for you for free (and yes, you can keep it after the conference is over). The only restrictions are:

  1. The poster should clearly state the problem(s) and the result(s) you want to present.

  2. It should be understandable for a graduate student.

  3. The full text of the proof should be freely available  during the conference (yes, we will be more then happy to print your preprints).

  4. The maximal poster size is 48in x 60in  (yes, if you print the poster yourself, nonstandard sizes are possible, just let us know in advance).

We welcome posters presenting results, problems, surveys, etc. of any level of difficulty and in any format. The only posters that  won’t be accepted are those containing false results and invalid arguments.

To sign up for poster session, just check the corresponding box during the registration process. The PDF files can be sent to informal@math.kent.edu (Please, include the words  “poster submission” in the subject line and specify the desired poster size in body).

And, please, do not worry, do not be shy,  you will not be alone making poster presentation, Kent State faculty and graduate students are planing to present  several posters during the meeting themselves!

To make it even more fun, we should add that poster submitters will be given preference if our conference budget is not enough to cover everybody’s expenses.

The deadline for PDF submission is Midnight on Friday, February 21.
