Special Topics: Information Theory (60091)

This is 100% online class! We will have (reasonably) regular zoom meeting on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1pm-3pm. I will record all lectures and upload them together with pdf of slides on this webpage. You can also find here all required homeworks. You will NOT be able to visit me in my office!! But almost at any time I will be very happy to chat with you using zoom /skype/Microsoft Teams.

Books Video and pdf for lecture notes as well as home works are posted here. In general the lecture notes should be sufficient for you to learn and the book is not required. I will use "Elements of Information Theory" by Thomas M. Cover and Joy A. Thomas as well as "Mathematical Foundations of Information Theory", by A. Ya. Khinchin. I will also use lecture notes Mokshay Madiman; and lecture notes by Yury Polyanskiy and Yihong Wu. .

Please, note the calendar below is just a plan which may be adjusted during the semester! The same is true for Home works, they may be slightly adjusted before the class.
