To our profound sadness,  our colleague, friend and the one of  founding fathers of  informal analysis seminar Joe Deistel died on August 17, 2017.  Joe was the soul of the seminar as well as the soul of our Analysis group as well as The Department of Mathematical Sciences, to which he dedicated most of his life.
